I grew up listening to a lot of old school music, especially Prince. One of the first albums I ever listened to was “Crystal Ball” on a portable CD player and “Sign O’ The Times” on our family computer with those funky abstract music scapes playing on the screen at age four. Prince’s philosophy around the creation of art, artist rights and how it can heal the world has been a part of my psyche since I was a kid, and it will always be something I live by. After experiencing art block on and off since 2020, I started listening to Prince again in 2024 and began a series of Prince drawings, which helped me start to illustrate again.
