Meet Lilette - Sista Creatives Rising's new mask-cot based on a San José cochran frog.
This mascot collaboration came together with Sista Creatives Rising's graphics assistant Nabila Nugroho (Crezi Creative & MaquireMQR), who’s been a part of our “Art & Mind” art & film event series since 2021.
The idea for a cute chibi disabled & chronically ill mascot has been in my head since we started developing our third show, “Art & Mind: COVID, Climate & Our Future,” in the fall of 2024. Sista Creatives Rising has a spiritual nature theme with sunflowers (a symbol of hidden disabilities, hope & healing) and lotuses (a symbol of rising above the odds) as part of our branding, which Nabila helped us develop! My Mom, Claire, absolutely loves frogs and likes to collect figurines and other frog objects. Although we have the Lotus Woman Goddess in our logo, which could technically be a mascot, we felt a cute froggie would really help us grow!

In Spring 2026 we launched some merch purchasable online via Stripe. We sell waterproof sticker sheets of her printed on Koala-brand vinyl paper, and vibrant inkjet prints on 4 x 6-inch 60-lb matte postcards and 11 x 14-inch 60-lb matte paper. We use Red River Paper for all our art prints and plan to expand our print sizes and types soon. All Funds support our programming!
